The agricultural sector - traditionally the most attractive destination for investment due to the preservation of export capacity, fertile land and relatively cheap labor force. Investment interest as the Ukrainian crop and livestock production. However, the prospects of the domestic agro-industrial complex in the world is not limited to grain or oil. In recent years, Ukraine is developing new niche food products. Our producers not only open up the EU market, but also access to other major world food markets - China and South Asia. Hence, there is reason to believe that this year Ukraine will remain in the focus of attention of local and international strategic and financial investors.
Vladislava Rutitska, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food on European Integration noted that 2015 was marked by a significant increase in deliveries of Ukrainian agricultural products to China. "We have overcome the barrier of USD 1.3 billion of agricultural exports. Ukrainian dairy producers have also been able to export products to China, but for them a very important question of Railways. New Silk Road as a strategy of cooperation with the Chinese side, in addition to the transit potential, provides for the creation of joint enterprises or industrial parks to attract Chinese investment in Ukraine. After all, our Chinese partners are interested to invest in joint projects in the sphere of agriculture. Today a new Silk Road - a win-win routes and economic ties, is the creation of economic space on the basis of mutually beneficial cooperation."
According to participants of the forum, the agricultural sector will become the locomotive in all areas, including a build-up of agricultural production and the degree of its processing, as well as innovation. Reform of the land market and taxation, the price of oil and the development of alternative energy will affect the efficiency of production. And domestic market growth factors, changes in consumption patterns in the country and in foreign markets, the existence of the state export promotion system will affect on the development of processing, - say the key players in the agricultural market.
